I’m 18 years old and a college student, and I’m about to get a new phone with the Amp’d mobile service. I heard that if you don’t pay your phone bill, they’ll cut off your account, but you can still use your phone (texting/calling) as if nothing happened. If that happens, will it mess up my credit?

my bill came out to be almost 400 cause of late payments in about 3 months, so i cant pay that, so i just want to let them cut it off, my contract ends in 2 months, but will i still have bad credit if i just call them and pay that fee that they ask for when you don’t reach your contract. how bad will this be to my credit?

As far as I know, I have no credit history, besides maybe a few low cost items charged to a debit/credit card. Would that in itself make them require a deposit or should I make sure that there’s not anything sketchy going on with my credit?
