I don’t think it would bring down your credit drastically, but it would have some impact on it. No matter what if a bill gets sent into collections it’s going to get reported to the credit bureau and it’s going to show up if someone may need to run your credit. I say just pay the bill and pay that cancellation fee. Why have something negative on your bill when you can just pay and call and get it canceled.
