The cell phone service in the area that I live in is spotty, but I’ve had phones that worked here previously. I was wondering if anyone knows any phones that work well in areas that have bad cell service.

I live in the north west suburbs and I currently have Nextel and I think it ***** (service and price)! Wondering what company I should use when my contract is up at the end of Spetember. I want good (clear) service and a good rate plan. Im looking for a phone with a good camera, easy text messaging and would also like to be able to access the net (not as important). I really want to get a T-Mobile Sidekick but I am unsure if the phone or the service is any good. What are your opinions of t-mobile service and the sidekick3?

What other phone or service providers would you recommend?

Last month’s phone bill doubled and I noticed a charge for long distance service. I know I didn’t make ANY calls last month, so I called the phone company and was shocked to learn that they now charge for long distance whether you use it or not. Now this was a big promotion from the phone company last year that if you stayed with them, there would be no service charges for long distance (of course if calls were made, you have to pay for them). Now I’m being charged for something I don’t use - I’m not a big phone user and haven’t even made a call in like 10 weeks. My cable TV/Internet service is now offering a package deal where they provide TV, Internet and phoce service in a “bundle.” This month’s phone bill was about $31 and if I went with the cable service, my bill would increase by $39.95, but they claim to have unlimited calling. I wanted to know the advantages and disadvantages of either staying with my current phone company or switching to cable phone service. Thanks!

My parents are cutting the cord, and I’m soon going to have to start paying for my own phone service. After researching plans and services, (I looked at Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T) I have my preference on which one I’d choose, but I’d like to get other opinions on which phone companies overall have the best service, keeping in mind the phone selection and quality, service features, how good of service you get, etc.. Please let me know your opinions.

I am moving to California, don’t know exactly where, yet. LA coast area. I live in Ga, we have two major phone services here, Alltel (yuk) and Bellsouth. I want to know so I can start setting up service now. But I don’t know who to call.

I need a cell phone. I need to find a service that is cheap and works good. Possibly free unlimited minutes on weekends? I don’t care which kind of phone, I just need a cheap, good-working service. Anyone know of any?

I’m currently using verizon’s highspeed internet. But the phone landline costs 30 dollars, and I don’t even use it. I want to cancel my phone service, but i need it for internet. Is there an alternative to using a phone company for internet? I don’t have cabel nor direct tv so I don’t know what the dealio is for their company. Would I need to have cabel TV in order to get high speed internet?

Also does Roadrunner need a phoneline to work? It’s also only 5mbps compared to my 100mbps currently with verizon, does that mean its slower? If it is, then I’m definately NOT getting it.
