I work 12 hr shiftsin an ER and coming to the phone is letting everyone know my business. I want to keep in touch with my kids at all times, I need a cellphone service that is cheap, easy to use for the kids, and possibly comes with three phones (one adult, two kids) to contact me anytime. I am a single parent so cost is the most important matter in this situation. If you can’t think of a cell phone service what is the next best thing. We already use walky talkeys but they are bulky and not very private and don’t work over a certain amout of distance or in certain buildings.

My partner is moving in with me and we both have cellular phones. The condo door entrance buzzer links only to one phone number to allow guests to enter, so I want to get a dirt cheap home service to link the condo door entrance. It needs very little minutes and no call waiting etc. It can use a high-speed internet to connect. Who has the cheapest home phone service not requiring a contract?

Hi, I was just curious to this Asterisk service I found. I kind of came upon it by accident through a chat forum where someone was mentioning it was a great service that didn’t have all of the hassles as regular phone company service. I’m not sure exactly what it is or what it does though…is it for home lines or more like a business? Is there a lot of programming and parts to buy?
I’d really appreciate the help if anyone knows the answers to this, thanks!

I have a older model Razr with T-Mobile to go, but it seems like it’s ******* up minutes faster by counting the dial tones for calling people and etc. I was going to sign up for Amp’d mobile a while ago but I heard it got bankrupt and shut down.

My question is what prepaid service should I sign up for if I want to not only talk on the phone, but participate on the web and downloading games and ringtones? I want to be able to have an up to date model phone such as a Razr variant or etc, not some crappy *** basic model phone.

Note that I will only go prepaid since I don’t really talk on the phone for more than 5 minutes at a time and at $40 a month, is a waste compared to paying around $20 to $50 every 2 months.

I need to get a home phone set up in my apartment, the main reason is so I can accept collect calls from a family member in jail. I~m having a hard time finding a phone service that is reasonable, or even one at all. I live in South Florida. Any help would be appreciated.

I have verizon for wireless phone service. Does anyone know what happens to calls that try to come through when you are out of the service area and getting no signal? Do the callers get routed to voicemail or do they get some type of message stating the caller is out of the service area? I am just curious if they are still able to get to my voicemail box. Thanks for your replies.
